Community event centers frequently host a variety of programs including educational workshops, recreational activities, youth programs, and public meetings. These activities are often held in large multipurpose rooms designed to accommodate different group sizes and event types. During busy periods, conversations, presentations, and group discussions can easily produce sound levels between 65–75 dB(A).
When several groups share the same open room, sound from one activity can quickly spread across the space and interfere with other programs. For example, a community meeting or educational workshop may be disrupted by noise from a nearby recreational class or youth activity. Participants may struggle to hear presenters clearly when background conversations and other sounds overlap.
Community centers require flexible room configurations so they can adjust spaces for both small meetings and large gatherings.
