TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION
ACCESS DOOR NOISE

Construction sites generate significant noise from equipment such as concrete saws, jackhammers, compressors, and drilling machines. These tools commonly produce sound levels between 90–100 dB(A) during operation. When construction work occurs inside existing buildings, noise often travels through temporary door openings into nearby offices or occupied areas.

Temporary barriers or plastic partitions rarely provide effective noise control. Sound easily passes through these openings, creating disruptive conditions for employees, patients, or building occupants. In many cases, background noise levels in adjacent areas can rise above 70 dB(A) during active construction work.

Controls noise through temporary construction doors.

This type of noise disruption can severely impact productivity in office environments or disturb sensitive spaces such as hospitals, schools, or research facilities. Continuous high-level noise also increases stress levels and interferes with communication.

The ImpactaCore® Acoustic Door Blanket System provides an ideal solution for temporary construction environments. As a removable acoustic door blanket, it can be quickly installed over temporary access doors to contain construction noise.

By using this temporary soundproof door barrier, construction managers can reduce noise transmission from active work zones. In many cases, noise levels outside the construction area can be reduced from 95 dB(A) to around 60–65 dB(A), allowing surrounding operations to continue with minimal disruption.
