Overwiew
Eastern Shipbuilding Group operates a high-output
shipbuilding and repair facility in Florida, where welding,
cutting, heavy machinery, and industrial HVAC systems
generate continuous high-decibel noise. Sound traveled freely
across production floors, mechanical rooms, and
administrative areas, impacting communication, employee
comfort, and operational efficiency.
The facility required industrial soundproof walls that could
provide noise isolation systems, improve safety, and ensure
compliance with OSHA and local sound regulations—without
the downtime or cost of permanent construction.

CHALLENGE
Shipyard operations involve multiple noise sources, including
welding, metal fabrication, material handling, and HVAC
equipment, creating high-decibel environments across
production and office areas. Eastern Shipbuilding Group
needed fire-rated, durable, and weather-resistant
soundproofing walls capable of performing under harsh
industrial conditions. The solution also had to allow modular,
decoupled installation for flexible layouts while ensuring
effective industrial noise reduction and compliance with local
sound regulations.

Â
All Noise Control installed ANC-AB13, a heavy-duty industrial
soundproof wall, around machinery, mechanical rooms, and
work zones to create sound blocking walls and noise isolation
systems without disrupting workflow.
Combining a 2-lb non-reinforced mass loaded barrier wall with
3″ quilted fiberglass absorbers, ANC-AB13 features vinyl-coated
facing, grommets, and hook-and-loop fasteners for modular
decoupled wall systems. Rolls are 48″ x 25′
, Class A flammability rated, and withstand -20° to +180° F.
With STC 36 and NRC 1.25, ANC-AB13 reduces noise,
reverberation, and vibrations while providing versatile acoustic
wall panels, acoustic insulation wall panels, and noise
reduction wall products for industrial acoustics solutions and
architectural sound control.
