Overwiew
Crown & Shield is a lively hospitality destination where crowd
noise, live music, and hard interior finishes combined to create
elevated ambient sound levels during peak hours. While the
energetic atmosphere is part of the pub’s appeal, excessive
noise began to interfere with conversation, reduce guest
comfort, and limit the overall social experience. Staff and
patrons alike reported difficulty communicating during busy
periods, highlighting the need for an effective acoustic solution
that would improve the environment.
To address these challenges, Crown & Shield partnered with All
Noise Control to install VibraCore® ANC-4000 acoustic ceiling
panels, a high-performance solution engineered for hospitality
spaces. This sound absorbing ceiling panels were designed to
control reverberation, manage ambient noise, and enhance
the overall guest experience while maintaining visual appeal
and operational efficiency.

CHALLENGE
Open ceilings, reflective surfaces, and densely occupied areas
allowed sound to travel and accumulate rapidly, particularly
during peak service hours. The pub required commercial
acoustic ceiling panels that could deliver consistent noise
reduction performance, withstand heavy foot traffic and
activity, meet Class A fire-rating standards, and integrate
visually with exposed ceilings without disrupting lighting,
HVAC systems, or interior design elements.

Â
All Noise Control installed VibraCore® ANC-4000 ceiling panels
for noise control, directly mounted to the ceiling deck in open
plenum areas. Each panel features a high-density fiberglass
absorption core, providing exceptional broadband sound
absorption for both speech and music frequencies.
The panels were finished with durable, acoustically fabrics,
chosen to complement the pub’s interior décor while allowing
sound energy to pass through to the absorptive core. Panel
layouts were strategically engineered to target primary noise
reflection points, ensuring that reverberation was reduced in
critical areas without deadening the lively, vibrant atmosphere
that patrons expect.
The direct-mount system delivered a low-profile solution that
preserved ceiling height, lighting performance, and HVAC
airflow, enabling seamless integration into the existing
environment. Additionally, the panels are fire-rated, low-
maintenance, and built to perform reliably in a high-traffic
hospitality setting.
