Noise Metal

Overwiew
Amazon operates high-volume distribution and fulfillment
centers designed for speed, efficiency, and continuous
operation. These facilities depend on conveyor systems,
compressors, generators, and automated mechanical
equipment that function around the clock. At one Amazon
distribution facility, elevated noise levels from critical
mechanical systems began affecting operational efficiency,
employee comfort, and overall warehouse acoustics.
To improve working conditions and maintain productivity,
Amazon partnered with All Noise Control to implement a
custom-engineered industrial metal enclosure solution.

CHALLENGE
The facility experienced excessive continuous noise from
compressors and mechanical equipment located within the
operational floor area. The expansive open warehouse
environment amplified sound reflections, contributing to
elevated dBA levels that impacted worker communication and
concentration. In addition, the project required adherence to
OSHA noise exposure considerations while maintaining proper
airflow and cooling for critical machinery. Any solution had to
be structurally durable, corrosion-resistant, and compatible
with Amazon’s fast-paced operational schedule, with
installation completed without interrupting daily fulfillment
activities.
SOLUTION

All Noise Control designed and installed a custom All Noise
Metal Enclosure engineered specifically for industrial
warehouse conditions. The enclosure system was fabricated
using stainless steel for corrosion resistance, galvanized steel
panels for structural integrity and high sound transmission
loss, and aluminum framing components for durability and
weather protection. High-mass insulated steel acoustic panels
were integrated with internal sound-absorptive liners to
control both sound transmission and reverberation.
Acoustic ventilation silencers were incorporated to maintain
proper airflow and cooling while preserving noise reduction
performance. The modular panel system allowed for phased
installation, ensuring uninterrupted warehouse operations
while providing maintenance access through removable
service panels and access doors.
