CHALLENGE
Ford needed to reduce the noise from the HVAC system,
which was affecting the factory floor and causing
distractions for assembly line workers. The company
also needed to improve the thermal insulation of the
ducts and pipes, especially in areas where heated air
was being used for specific manufacturing processes.
The solution had to be durable, efficient, and easy to
install without disrupting the production schedule.
SOLUTION
Ford partnered with All Noise Control to install B10LAG2 –High-Performance Duct Wrap Insulation throughout the
facility. B10LAG2 was selected for its superior
soundproofing capabilities and thermal acoustic pipe wrap
properties. The wrap was installed around HVAC ducts and
high- temperature pipes to reduce noise and improve
energy efficiency without interrupting production.
CHALLENGES
Following the installation of B10LAG2, Ford’s
manufacturing plant saw a significant reduction in HVAC
system noise, leading to fewer complaints from employees
and improved focus on the production line. The thermal
insulationproperties of B10LAG2 helped to optimize the
HVAC system’s performance, leading to lower energy
consumption and improved temperature regulation. The
plant became more efficient, and worker comfort
improved, ultimately contributing to a more productive
