CHALLENGE
Google’s engineering division needed quiet, controlled-focus
environments inside several of their tech campuses. Their
open-office layout encouraged collaboration but created
constant background noise, making it difficult for software
engineers, team leads, and UX research teams to maintain
focus during:
- Deep work sessions
- Daily stand-ups
- Client video conferences
- Product testing environments
Traditional construction was not feasible because it would disrupt operations and limit future flexibility.
SOLUTION
All Noise Control designed and installed high-STC modular office
pods and acoustically isolated project rooms, featuring:
- STC 55 modular wall systems
- NRC-rated ceiling tiles for echo reduction
- Glass window panels for visibility without noise transfer
- Pre-wired electrical and network raceways
- Scalable layouts for future reconfiguration
Each modular suite was built and installed with zero downtime, allowing Google to maintain full productivity.
