Google’s offices are designed with open, flexible layouts that encourage collaboration. While visually engaging, these spaces often generate high ambient noise, interfering with employee focus and productivity. Google sought a solution that would control noise without sacrificing the creative and open aesthetic of their
workspaces.
CHALLENGE
Noise from simultaneous activities in open-plan areas, combined with high ceilings and reflective surfaces, created inconsistent acoustic conditions. The solution needed to reduce reverberation, improve speech clarity, and integrate with Google’s vibrant interior design.

IMPLEMENTATION
All Noise Control implemented layered acoustic ceiling baffles in open work zones, high-traffic areas, and collaboration hubs. Baffles were customized with colors and finishes that complemented Google’s branding. Acoustic modeling guided placement to ensure optimal sound absorption while maintaining the open-office feel.
