Overwiew
Classrooms, gyms, and cafeterias in Orange County Public Schools suffered from poor acoustics and high background noise, distracting students and teachers. The installation of acoustic ceiling clouds and modular ceiling sound control panels enhanced room sound control from above, reduced reverberation, and improved learning environments. Teachers reported better student focus and more effective communication throughout the schools.
CHALLENGE
Many classrooms and large school spaces suffered from high background noise and poor acoustics. Teachers reported that students were easily distracted, and gymnasiums had significant echo during assemblies and events. The school district required ceiling-mounted soundproofing panels thatwere durable, scalable, and easy to maintain.
SOLUTION
All Noise Control deployed acoustic cloud ceiling systems customized for classrooms, gyms, and cafeterias. Panels were installed using suspended modular systems to adapt to varying ceiling heights. Dual-sided absorption and ceiling sound dampening panels improved ambient noise reduction, while custom finishes allowed integration with school design
aesthetics.
