AutoNation, Inc. manages high-traffic automotive retail
locations and corporate office spaces where clear
communication is critical to customer satisfaction, sales
success, and overall operational efficiency. The combination of
open layouts, bustling showrooms, and constant office activity
generated elevated noise levels that reduced speech
intelligibility and made effective communication between staff
and customers challenging. This high-noise environment also
contributed to distractions, affecting staff focus and overall
workplace productivity.
To address these acoustic challenges, AutoNation partnered
with All Noise Control to install VibraCore® ANC-4000 acoustic
ceiling panels. Engineered for high NRC-rated sound
absorption, the solution reduces reverberation, controls
ambient noise, and creates a professional, comfortable
environment that enhances both staff performance and the
customer experience.

CHALLENGE
Sales conversations, customer traffic, and open ceilings caused
excessive ambient noise and reverberation. The solution
needed to provide effective ceiling noise control, integrate
seamlessly with both drop ceiling and suspended ceiling
systems, and maintain lighting and HVAC efficiency while
preserving the visual appeal of the showroom and office
spaces.

All Noise Control installed VibraCore® ANC-4000 commercial
acoustic ceiling panels using a combination of lay-in grid
panels for offices and suspended acoustic ceiling panels in
larger open areas. Panels featured high-NRC fiberglass cores
designed to absorb reflected sound energy and improve
speech intelligibility across open sales floors, office workspaces,
and customer interaction areas.
The system was engineered to optimize panel spacing and
coverage while maintaining access to lighting fixtures,
sprinklers, and HVAC diffusers. The installation created a
balanced acoustic environment that effectively reduced noise
without over-absorbing sound or altering the visual character
of the space. The fire-rated, code-compliant panels also
ensured long-term durability in high-traffic environments,
supporting both safety and operational efficiency.
