Overwiew

Jabil Inc., a leading electronics manufacturing company in
Florida, operates large production floors with precision
machinery, generators, and HVAC systems. The continuous
operation of heavy equipment in Jabil Inc. generated
persistent airborne noise that impacted worker comfort,
productivity, and compliance with internal noise standards.

Jabil needed a flexible, high-performance soundproofing
solution to isolate mechanical rooms, ductwork, and
equipment enclosures without disrupting existing production
workflows. Traditional rigid panels were bulky, difficult to
retrofit, and offered limited acoustic performance.

CHALLENGE

Jabil faced continuous noise from high-decibel machinery,
generators, and HVAC systems, which transferred into adjacent
work areas, affecting worker comfort and operational
efficiency. Space limitations in mechanical rooms and
production areas prevented the use of thick or rigid
soundproofing panels. Additionally, the existing production
layouts required a solution that could be retrofitted without
halting operations. The company needed a reliable, long-term
noise control solution that complied with internal safety and
noise regulations while maintaining a safe and functional
working environment.

SOLUTION

All Noise Control used MassiCore® ANC-VB60 Mass Loaded
Vinyl (MLV), a high-density, non-toxic, lead-free sound barrier.
Weighing 1 lb per square foot and measuring 1/8′′ thick, this
flexible, limp mass material was designed for use on walls,
floors, ceilings, and as a pipe or duct wrap. Its high-density
construction acts as an effective limp mass barrier to reduce
airborne noise, while the thin, flexible design allowed
installation behind drywall, ceilings, and around ductwork
without affecting workspace or production flow. MassiCore®
ANC-VB60 was installed on mechanical room walls, ceilings,

and duct systems to dampen vibration and reduce structure-
borne noise. The material is fire-rated and durable, meeting UL

94 HF-1, MVSS 302, and MIL-STD 6411 standards, ensuring
reliable long-term performance in industrial conditions.

MassiCore® ANC-VB60 was applied behind drywall in
mechanical rooms adjacent to production areas, and ducts,
pipes, and generator enclosures were wrapped with the vinyl
to serve as industrial sound barriers and vibration-dampening
barriers, effectively reducing noise transfer to surrounding
workspaces.

RESULTS

  • Significant noise reduction across mechanical rooms and
    production areas.
  • Improved worker comfort, safety, and productivity.
  • Space-efficient, flexible solution that did not interfere with
    production layouts.
  • Long-term performance in high-traffic industrial
    environments.
