Overwiew
The Academy of Dance, Music & Theatre supports instruction
across acting, music, and dance disciplines, often running
rehearsals and classes simultaneously. Ongoing noise transfer
between adjacent spaces reduced acoustic clarity and
performance quality. To resolve this issue, the academy
partnered with All Noise Control to implement ANC-390
soundproof accordion doors, providing STC 39 sound proof
door performance designed for flexible interior environments.
These accordion systems operate as soundproof doors interior,
delivering reliable door sound insulation while preserving the
ability to open spaces fully when acoustic separation is not
required.

CHALLENGE
Sound bleed disrupted rehearsals and instruction. The
academy required sound resistant interior doors, sound
dampening interior door systems, and soundproof doors
interior capable of reducing noise without limiting adaptability.
The solution needed to provide measurable acoustic
performance and durable daily operation.

All Noise Control installed ANC-390 soundproof accordion
doors engineered to deliver STC 39 interior door sound
insulation. These internal sound proof doors feature an all-steel
frame and hinge system for durability, with a compact 9″ (229
mm) stack width that preserves usable floor space.
The ANC-390 supports manual or electric operation, allowing
instructors to quickly open or close studios as needed.
Available vinyl, fabric, or carpet finishes ensured visual
compatibility with the academy’s interiors. Designed for large
openings, the system accommodates widths up to 50′ (15,240
mm) and heights up to 16′ (4,877 mm), providing scalable door
sound proofing across multiple studios. With a hanging weight
of 3.25 lbs./sq. ft., the doors deliver effective noise proofing a
door without permanent construction.
