Sarasota Memorial Hospital operates around the clock,
supporting patient care, surgical suites, recovery rooms, and
diagnostic spaces. Maintaining low background noise levels is

The hospital’s HVAC ductwork, air handlers, and mechanical
piping systems run continuously, creating potential pathways
for vibration and airflow noise to travel into occupied spaces.
Addressing this noise at the source was a priority for facility
management.

CHALLENGE
Airborne noise from HVAC ductwork and vibration from
mechanical piping were transmitting into patient rooms and
corridors. Condensation on chilled water piping also posed
risks for maintenance and system efficiency. The hospital
required a solution suitable for healthcare and cleanroom-
adjacent environments.
SOLUTION
Â
All Noise Control installed ANC-B10LAG2 soundproof pipe and
duct wrap on HVAC ductwork, chilled water lines, hot water
piping, and mechanical room equipment. The fiberglass pipe
wrap layer absorbs vibration and reduces structure-borne
noise, while the high-density vinyl barrier blocks airborne
sound from escaping mechanical systems.
The R-value of 9 provides high-performance thermal insulation,
improving energy efficiency and preventing condensation.
Designed for durability and moisture resistance, ANC-B10LAG2
supports long-term performance in both indoor mechanical
spaces and limited outdoor pipe wrap applications commonly
found in hospital campuses.
