Overwiew
NextEra Energy operates large-scale corporate office
environments in Florida designed to support collaboration,
strategic planning, and daily operational efficiency. These
modern workspaces feature open-plan office layouts, high
ceilings, glass-walled conference rooms, and exposed
architectural elements that enhance aesthetics but can create
challenging acoustic conditions.
As employee density increased and collaboration intensified,
elevated background noise, speech overlap, and excessive
reverberation began to impact concentration, meeting clarity,
and overall workplace comfort. To address these issues while
maintaining the architectural integrity of the space, NextEra
Energy partnered with All Noise Control to implement a high-
performance acoustic ceiling panel solution using the
VibraCore® ANC-4000 Acoustic Panel Ceiling System.
CHALLENGE
Open office layouts and reflective surfaces allowed
conversations, video calls, and equipment noise to spread
across work areas and into shared spaces like cafeterias.
Conference rooms struggled with speech clarity, while open
workstations were affected by constant ambient noise. The
solution required high-NRC acoustic ceiling panels that met
OSHA-aligned noise control goals, Class A fire ratings, and
could be installed seamlessly without disrupting daily
operations.
SOLUTION
All Noise Control designed and installed a customized system
of VibraCore® ANC-4000 sound absorbing ceiling panels
throughout open offices, meeting rooms, cafeterias and
collaboration areas of NextEra Enery Inc. Panels were specified
in both 1” and 2” thicknesses to balance sound absorption and
ceiling height requirements, achieving NRC values up to 1.00.
VibraCore® ANC-4000 panels were installed using a
combination of direct-mount systems, allowing precise
placement based on reflected ceiling plans. Fabric finishes
were selected to complement the corporate interior while
maintaining acoustical transparency and durability.
