Four Seasons Hotel & Tower Miami is a premier high-rise
destination combining luxury hospitality, residential living, and
mixed-use amenities. Delivering an exceptional guest and
resident experience requires precise control of mechanical
noise while maintaining consistent indoor comfort across all
spaces.
High-rise buildings depend on extensive HVAC ductwork, air
duct wrap, and mechanical piping that run vertically and
horizontally throughout the structure. Without proper acoustic
pipe and duct wrap, vibration and airflow noise can easily travel
between floors, affecting guest suites, residences, and shared
areas.

CHALLENGE
Mechanical noise generated by HVAC fans, duct transitions,
and piping created the risk of sound transmission into guest
rooms and residential units. The system also needed to
function as an effective HVAC duct insulation wrap, providing
condensation prevention and energy efficiency in Miami’s
humid coastal climate. Durability and moisture resistance were
critical requirements for long-term performance.
SOLUTION
Â
All Noise Control installed ANC-B10LAG2 (B10LAG) acoustic
pipe and duct wrap across HVAC ductwork, mechanical piping,
and key equipment connections throughout the tower. The
system’s two-inch thick fiberglass duct wrap absorber acts as a
vibration decoupler, reducing airflow noise and mechanical
resonance at the source. Bonded to this layer is a high-density
loaded vinyl barrier that delivers reliable HVAC noise blocking
by preventing airborne and structure-borne sound from
escaping ducts and pipes.
With an R-value of 9, the HVAC wrap enhances thermal
efficiency by reducing heat loss from hot piping and
preventing condensation on chilled water lines. Its moisture-
resistant, fire-rated construction makes it well suited for
mechanical rooms, service corridors, and areas requiring
dependable outdoor pipe wrap performance in coastal
conditions.
