Gerber’s food production facilities operate continuous HVAC
systems and process piping, generating vibration, airborne
noise, and thermal losses. Maintaining acoustic control is
critical to protect worker comfort, maintain hygienic
production environments, and ensure sensitive equipment
operates correctly.
Thermal management is equally important, as condensation
and heat loss on hot and chilled lines could compromise
production quality. The facility needed a solution capable of
providing both pipe wrap, air duct wrap, and HVAC wrap
functions while delivering long-term durability and reliable
acoustic and thermal performance.

CHALLENGE
Airborne and vibration noise from HVAC ductwork and piping
interfered with worker communication and focus, while heat
loss from piping reduced energy efficiency. The facility
required a soundproofing solution that combined soundproof
pipe and duct wrap, acoustic pipe and duct wrap, fiberglass
duct wrap, and HVAC duct insulation wrap functionality in a
single product suitable for industrial piping installation,
retrofits, and outdoor applications.

Â
All Noise Control applied the ANC-B10LAG Wrap Barrier across
HVAC ducts, process piping, pumps, and mechanical
enclosures throughout the facility. Its mass-loaded vinyl layer
delivers high-density acoustic control, providing exceptional
acoustic pipe and duct wrap effectively minimizing both low-
frequency vibration and airborne noise.
The reinforced aluminum-faced mylar layer offers superior
resistance to chemicals, moisture, and heat, ensuring reliable
performance in both indoor and outdoor pipe wrap
applications, even under harsh industrial conditions. In
addition to acoustic control, the B10LAG improves thermal
insulation, reduces heat loss, and prevents condensation on
hot and chilled piping. Its flexible design allows quick
installation over existing insulation using matching tape,
enabling fast deployment with minimal disruption to ongoing
operations while maintaining ASTM E84 Class 1 fire-rating
compliance for long-term safety and performance.
