Overwiew
Hughes Brothers Construction, Inc. specializes in multi-level
commercial projects in dense urban areas, where noise from
elevated work zones, scaffolding, and heavy machinery can
easily affect neighboring buildings and pedestrian areas. To
maintain compliance with local noise ordinances and protect
workers, the company needed a reliable solution for vertical
sound control.
They partnered with All Noise Control to deploy a high-
performance Soundproof Fence Barrier capable of scaling
vertically to form a fully enclosed noise barrier for multi-story
construction, providing effective noise reduction without
adding excessive weight or requiring permanent structures,
unlike traditional rigid panels or plywood walls.

CHALLENGE
Noise from multiple elevated floors, scaffolding, and heavy
machinery reflected and amplified across the construction site,
making standard fencing and temporary barriers ineffective.
This required sound barrier walls that could scale vertically to
form a fully enclosed noise barrier without adding excessive
weight or interfering with scaffolding access.
SOLUTION
Â
All Noise Control deployed overlapping sections of Soundproof
Fence Barrier, attaching directly to scaffolding to create multi-
level sound blocking panels. Each 1/8′′ thick panel features a
durable soundproof membrane and engineered absorption
core, independently lab-tested with an STC rating of 28 —
delivering approximately 85% perceived noise reduction.
The outdoor/temporary sound barrier is UV/mold/weather
resistant, eco-friendly/recyclable, and impervious to water, oils,
and other fluids. Its lightweight & easy install design allowed
crews to attach, remove, or reposition panels in under one hour
without specialized tools. Heavy-duty brass eyelets every six
inches and supplied nylon ties enabled secure installation,
while the washable surface ensured long-term performance
and easy maintenance.
The Soundproof Fence Barrier integrates seamlessly with
existing scaffolding and fencing, forming a fully enclosed noise
barrier without altering the visual appearance of the
construction site.
