Overwiew
Miami Dance and Music Academy, a performing arts institution
offering dance, music, and vocal instruction, faced ongoing
acoustic challenges within its studios and rehearsal rooms.
Concurrent classes produced overlapping sound that affected
speech clarity, student focus, and overall learning comfort. To
improve interior acoustics without restricting flexible space
use, the academy partnered with All Noise Control to install
soundproof accordion doors ANC-390, a high-performance
solution delivering STC 39 door sound insulation for active
educational environments.
The ANC-390 system functions as soundproof doors interior,
providing effective door sound proofing while maintaining
wide openings and smooth operation. These sound resistant
interior doors helped create quieter, more controlled learning
spaces without permanent construction.

CHALLENGE
Sound transmission between adjacent studios created
distractions during instruction. The academy required noise
proof doors, sound proof interior door systems, and sound
dampening interior doors capable of reducing airborne noise
while supporting frequent space reconfiguration. A reliable
sound resistant door solution with measurable acoustic
performance was essential.
SOLUTION

All Noise Control installed ANC-390 soundproof accordion
doors engineered to deliver STC 39 interior door sound
insulation. These internal sound proof doors feature an all-steel
frame and hinge system for durability, with a compact 9″ (229
mm) stack width that preserves usable floor space.
The ANC-390 supports manual or electric operation, allowing
instructors to quickly open or close studios as needed.
Available vinyl, fabric, or carpet finishes ensured visual
compatibility with the academy’s interiors. Designed for large
openings, the system accommodates widths up to 50′ (15,240
mm) and heights up to 16′ (4,877 mm), providing scalable door
sound proofing across multiple studios. With a hanging weight
of 3.25 lbs./sq. ft., the doors deliver effective noise proofing a
door without permanent construction.
