To create this remarkable Acoustic Window window, Krieger utilized over 80 years of acoustical door experience to develop a window with an STC-rated seal and sliding track. Additionally, as with every Krieger product, this window is custom manufactured to the size, style, and finish requested. The Acoustic Window is a phenomenon that occurs when sound waves bounce off of a hard surface and are directed towards the ear. This can happen in both indoor and outdoor environments, and it can be caused by a number of different things. For example, if someone is talking on the phone in an apartment complex, the sound waves may bounce off of the walls and ceilings before reaching the ears of the person in the next unit. Similarly, outdoor noise pollution can be increased by buildings and other structures that reflect sound waves. By reducing the Acoustic Window, we can create quieter, more pleasant living and working spaces.
